Quintessa, Luxurious Living at an Exceptional Value

Quintessa
Luxurious Living at an Exceptional Value

Beyond the gates of Quintessa, a gated Union County neighborhood by Bonterra Builders, visitors will find several pleasant surprises.
The first is the homesites themselves – spacious lots generously sized from one to two acres with beautiful home designs at a surprising price for the sought-after Wesley Chapel area. “We’re an Exceptional value,” says Sales Manager Kevin Casner. “Our sister company developed this neighborhood, so we are able to give our homebuyers the added value of  larger homesites, in a gated community, in a great location, based upon land pricing that is less than the competition is charging for homesites half the size that we offer in Quintessa.  This enables us to help our buyers build the home of their dreams without settling for a smaller lot, or compromising on the features they desire to have in their new home,” he explains,  also mentioning the tax advantages and premiere schools – Wesley Chapel Elementary, Weddington Middle and Weddington High - that come with Quintessa’s Union County locale.
Yet the neighborhood is also close to all the conveniences its residents require, with the shops at the Village at Wesley Chapel, a Harris Teeter, a CVS and a new Walgreens, several restaurants and, coming soon, a Super Target all nearby. In fact, the location and neighborhood are so ideal that several Bonterra executives have chosen to make Quintessa their personal address.

What will attract prospective homebuyers is the quality construction and attention to detail in the 165 homes that will ultimately comprise the neighborhood, most of which are priced from the high $600’s into the $900’s. “We strive to provide our buyers with the personal attention they would typically expect to receive if they were building a million dollar custom home,” Casner says. “We do have some set plans that we will duplicate, which allows us to better control our costs. We can make needed changes to plans, or if someone wants to come in and custom build, we have that ability as well.”
In fact, all of the homes in Quintessa offer rich detailing. “Visitors will see the level of appointments they would expect in a custom home. We have features like nice 10’ ceilings, 8’ doors, lavish master suites, extensive molding and the details we build into the designs themselves. One of the things that sets us apart is that our construction team is intimately involved with the design process from beginning to end. We review each of these plans and look at them from a buyer’s perspective.”
Indeed, a closer look at four of the homes that are currently available in Bonterra demonstrates that careful attention to detail at every step of the process.
There’s a Waverly Carriage on Lot 77 that provides families with 4,258 square feet of graceful living space. “This is one of my favorite plans,” Casner describes enthusiastically. “It is relatively traditional in its placement of formal areas, with both a formal dining room and formal living room, but it has a very nice open family room/kitchen/hearth room that really increases your living and entertaining area.” A rear stone porch further extends entertaining space.
“Also on the main floor is a working office in the back of the home, so you could actually work there without having to worry about visitors seeing a mess, and it’s attached to a full bath. That space could also serve as a secondary bedroom if needed. A very large master suite is upstairs – we get lots of calls for that, especially from families with very young children. Right off the master bath is a workout room or office with a private stairway. It’s just an unbelievable value at $724,990.”
The Toulouse on Lot 9 is also an exceptional value at $784,210 for 4,782 square feet. “This is a brand new plan. It has a Romeo and Juliet balcony on the front of the home, which gives it character and a dramatic, circular two-story foyer with indirect lighting. It’s a fantastic home for entertaining, with a nice formal dining room. There’s no formal living room. Instead, it has a huge open kitchen and family/hearth room. It also has the main bedroom suite on the first floor as well as a secondary bedroom or study. In addition, upstairs this home has huge secondary bedrooms, a media area loft and a gigantic bonus room.”
A huge bonus room is a distinguishing characteristic of another home in Quintessa, the Winslow on Lot 79. This 5,008-square-foot residence offered at $799,990 boasts an attractive media room in addition to the aforementioned bonus room, giving its eventual owners plentiful entertaining options for family and friends.
“This home has a master bedroom on the main level, as well as a study or additional secondary bedroom on the first floor,” Casner says. The two-story family room boasts a stone fireplace that makes a dramatic statement, as fitting a home of its stature. In fact, with its Tudor detailing and striking architecture, the house had a commanding position on its street. “One of the nice things about this house is that it’s a very broad plan, which fills out the wide lot nicely, giving it a great presence on it’s one acre home site,” he says.
The Belingrath on Lot 71 also occupies a prime position within the neighborhood. “It’s situated on a cul-de-sac homesite that is more than two acres.” Casner says. The 4,866-sqaure-foot residence boasts a finished basement with all the amenities “It has a slate tile floor and a mini kitchen. It’s really ideal for entertaining. There’s also a secondary bedroom and full bath in the basement, which would be ideal for a pool bath if the owner’s wanted to add a pool at a later date.”
Offered at $899,900, there are many great details in this six-bedroom, five-bath residence, yet an appealing feature leads you back outside. “One of my favorite parts of this house is that it has two porches. One of those is a screened-in terrace that looks out over the backyard. It’s just a very private homesite.”
No matter what their individual attributes, each of Bonterra’s residences boasts that feeling of retreating to a haven that was created especially for you.
