As you prepare for your Bonterra Builders Design Center appointment, use our “Design Center Checklist” to help guide you through the exciting process of personalizing your new home.

Pencil Us In. Be prepared to schedule your Design Center appointment as soon as possible. You will be contacted by a member of the Design Center staff to schedule this appointment. Design Center appointments are scheduled for weekdays only.

Make Necessary Arrangements. Each Design Center appointment lasts approximately four hours; if necessary, it is recommended you arrange for a babysitter so you are able to fully focus on the decisions to be made at your appointment.

Bring your “Wish List”. Bring along any decorating ideas, images, fabrics, paint samples that might help you in choosing your finishes.

Review the Standard Features Sheet for your new home. At the time of contract, you should receive a Standard Features Sheet from your sales agent. It is in your best interest to read and understand what features are included with your new home.

Write it Down. Make notes on any options you see in model homes that you would like to consider including in your new home.

Plan Ahead. Consider how you will use each room in your new home. Will you need additional electrical outlets in your home office? What type of flooring will you want for each room?

Consider Furniture Placement. During your Design Center appointment you will be asked to choose the locations for each phone and cable outlet on your floor plan.

What’s Your Style? Consider cabinetry finishes, appliance color, plumbing and lighting fixture finishes, countertop material and finish, and flooring materials for your new home. All of these elements will come together to create the style of your new home.
